Russian Silhouette at Moscow Fashion Week

The first capsule display of six collections of finalists of the Russian Silhouette International Competition for Young Designers took place in Gostiny Dvor. The Russian Silhouette Charitable Foundation, managed by Tatyana Mikhalkova and Alexander Mitroshenkov, has been supporting young designers across the country for over 20 years, helping them take their first steps in the world of the fashion industry and creating their own brand.

Young designers presented their view of the world through fashionable bows. The ideas of young artists are an opportunity for guests to look at the fashion industry and the world as a whole through the eyes of the modern generation

At the heart of the brand, Anna Sokolova from Kostroma laid the combination of comfort and a spectacular appearance. Layering, geometry of lines, unexpected color combinations make each thing unique and make it possible to stand out. The main thing is that Anna strives to create wearable things, not just fashionable ones.

Andrey Goryachev from Ufa offered to laugh together at the madness of the modern world, choosing bright things for the same people thirsty for life. His experimental collection demonstrates to the public a look at the trend in the club culture in the 80s - “new romanticism”. The designer used such techniques of manipulating fabrics as ebru, embroidery and knitted knitwear, embodying his outlook in clothes.

Samara designer Lyubov Yegorova took inspiration from the revolution. The fashionable images that she created became a new interpretation of the art of Russian avant-garde artists of the early 20th century. The starting point in the development of her collection was the Suprematist compositions of Kazemir Malevich.

The basis of the collection of the Creative Group of the fashion theater "Image" from Kursk lay the work of a completely different artist. The image of Frida Kahlo with her fiery Mexican temperament, unique style and image was embodied in a modern clothing line. In the new collection, the guests of the show saw ethnic jewelry, soft natural fabrics, contrasting colors, cozy knitted poncho shawls, feminine lines of cut dresses convey the spirit of the era of the national Mexican costume from the time of the artist.

“Bathing Red” is the name of the collection of Omsk designer Anastasia Tipsina. She strives to create clothes out of season, erects national cultural traditions, historical stages of the country's development, authentic aspects and details of clothes in a super current trend with concern for the environment. In her outfits, the past and the present are in constant dialogue, complementing each other; simple silhouettes are combined with a bright, textbook color scheme, where total red dominates.

Alesia Kushchenko, a designer from the Republic of Belarus, brought to Moscow a collection based on the idea of the unity of man and nature. It demonstrates the harmony of the world, recalls that everything around is alive and deserves attention as well as any person has the right to be noticed and recognized. A distinctive feature of designer outfits is copyright prints with natural motifs, the image of “people-trees”.

Designers themselves have a chance to realize their ideas and be heard by the Russian Silhouette contest. A month ago, applications for participation in the new season started. The best beginner designers from Russia and foreign countries will traditionally come to the final gala show in Moscow next November to be on the main podium of the country
